It’s never too late or early to hire a doula, whether you’re nearing the end of your pregnancy or just beginning the journey, it’s the perfect time to explore doula support.

For newly expectant parents considering doula support, reach out as early as you can to secure your birth month and start building a connection.

I’ve completed extensive training to become a postpartum professional through Newborn Mothers, received certification as a birth doula from the Doula Training Academy, and honed my bodywork skills with Heather Bruce and Madeleine Longrigg. Additionally, I’m trained in pregnancy massage through Pregnancy Massage Australia and am hypnobirthing aware. I’ve also pursued further education in supporting VBAC with Hazel Keedle. Committed to safety and professionalism, I hold a blue card, first aid certificate, and am able to provide a police check upon request.

As a doula, I aim to support and enhance your birth partner’s role rather than overshadow it. My goal is to encourage, and guide them in becoming your ideal birth companion. I’ll equip them with hands-on skills, tools, and confidence to provide you with the best possible support. Doulas complement rather than replace midwives or OBs. We are all there to collaborate and work together, with your well-being as our focus.

Yes! My commitment is to support you and your choices throughout your birthing journey. I firmly believe that informed consent and education will equip you to make the best decisions each step of the way. No matter what choices you make, I offer unwavering support without judgment. “Your birth, your baby” – rest assured, I’ll prioritise your autonomy and ensure you remain in control of your experience.

Of course you can! Please feel free to reach out with any requests. We can add-on or exclude some appointments. It’s important to note that I always require at least one in-person antenatal appointment before engaging you as a birth client. This ensures that we have the opportunity to meet face-to-face and discuss your needs and preferences thoroughly.

Doula support encompasses various birthing scenarios, including planned or unplanned C-sections. Whether you’ve chosen to have a cesarean or face an unexpected one, my role is to ensure your experience is as positive and nurturing as possible.

For planned cesareans, we can discuss tailoring the experience. As you won’t require on-call support, adjustments to the package cost can be made accordingly.

In the event of an unplanned C-section, I’ll be by your side throughout. I can accompany you to recovery or the ward, and if your baby needs special care, your partner can be with the baby while I stay with you.

Trust and connection are the backbone of a mother and doula relationship and I invite you to join me for a coffee (or tea) meet-up, completely obligation-free. This gives us the opportunity to connect, chat, and see if we’re the right fit for each other.
